Mareeba - Julatten Birding Tour

 

Black-throated Finch (Poephila cincta)

On this tour we explore the drier areas north of Atherton, Mareeba, Mount Molloy, Julatten and Mount Carbine. You can expect to see 80-100 species on this full day tour (10 hrs).  We visit savannah, open woodland, and swamp to find species that would be an addition to the species seen on a Atherton Tablelands Birding Tour. 

  • Departure from: Atherton Visitor Information Centre, Mareeba Heritage Museum & Visitor Information Centre, or at accommodation or other location at agreed time for private tours.
  • Departure time for non-private tours can be as early as 6.00am, but no later than 7am.
  • Max 4 persons.
  • Meals not included (lunch at a cafĂ©/restaurant or picnic lunch)
  • Binoculars and bird list provided.
